VISION
To transform the Department into a seat of learning and quality education so as to provide comprehensive technical education of Diploma level Polymer Engineering and create world class technical skills oriented towards lifelong learning.
MISSION
1. To provide quality engineering education needed for students in process to build their successful professional career.
2. To promote industry involvement helpful for students for their vocational training, academic projects and placements.
3. To mold students to work in multidisciplinary groups, teams and produce best possible results for industry and society.
About Department
The department of Polymer and Plastic Engineering has been established in the year 1992 with an intake of 40 students under the World Bank assisted project. As Polymer and Plastic are relatively new course & basically its an stream of Chemical Engineering. The department aims at creating technician manpower needed by almost all types of Polymer industries. The overall objective is to train the student in such a way that he is capable of working in areas related to Polymer Process, Polymer Testing especially in quality Control Depts. Polymer Composites and Polymer Producing Plants, Basically our aim is to produce a learned Polymer man with enthusiasm to be a Entrepreneur. it can be said that the department has been able to provide the significant knowledge to the students. This claim is validated by the adoption of nearly all the passing out students by industries.
